Alex and I are continually grateful for getting to have the birth of our
dreams. Nicole's tender, wise and experienced care gave us everything
that we needed during such an amazing time of our lives. We felt as if we
were safely embraced in the womb of Motherwise Midwifery. Nicole's
unfailing belief in our growing baby and in our ability to birth that
baby naturally at home empowered us to be sublimely prepared for the
birth and therefore united and peaceful in the glorious moment. The
knowledge and strength that we gained from Nicole during our pregnancy
and birth have transferred into our relationship with each other and with
our child - we know that, together as a family, we can accomplish
anything, with dignity, grace and mindfulness.

It’s the middle of the day and my newborn babe is crying inconsolably again. It’s been a tough start for us, and I’m in desperate need of some reassurance that it’ll all be alright, that this sleep-deprivation stage WILL end and that my little man will find peace with himself. I pick up the phone and dial, again, my lifeline. I’m sure she’s too busy too talk, either seeing other clients or chasing her own kids around, but it’s worth a shot and “Hello”, there she is, with a voice as gentle as a soft breeze and words that embrace me in a hug. Not only did I have this beautiful woman to guide my husband and I through our pregnancy and childbirth in the most intimate way possible, but I have a constant source of encouragement and care as I fumble through motherhood. We couldn’t have been more blessed! Thank you, Nicole!
